How to Make Oat Milk
Making plant based milk at home is easier than you think! To be honest, it's super inexpensive to make your own oat milk.
To make it at home, you will need just a few ingredients:
- quick oats (be sure to purchase gluten free oats if you need them!)
- water
- dates (un-pitted if you can find them)
After you have your ingredients (and a good blender!) collected, do the following:
- Soak oats in enough water to cover them. Set aside for 30 minutes.
- Drain oats using a mesh colander. Combine oats with water and dates and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Transfer to a blender and blend until smooth. Drain through a cheese cloth to remove solids and store in fridge for up to a week.
