Air Fryer Brie with Puff Pastry, Honey and Dates

Air fryer brie is an easy and quick holiday appetizer you can make in just 20 minutes! Creamy brie cheese paired with crispy puff pastry, sweet honey and dates make a perfect gooey addition to your holiday appetizer table or cheeseboard.

Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 sheet of parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 7 oz brie cheese wheel
  • 1 sheet puff pastry about 8.5 ounces
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • cup dates pitted and diced

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 350F.
  • Unwrap outer packaging from brie wheel and place onto defrosted puff pastry sheet.
    7 oz brie cheese wheel, 1 sheet puff pastry
  • Carefully wrap puff pastry around brie. If you choose you can cut off excess puff pastry on the bottom.
  • Place brie into basket and brush with egg wash.
    1 medium egg
  • Fry at 350F for 10 minutes, flip and fry for an additional 3-5 minutes or until the puff pastry is browned on both sides.
  • Top the baked brie with a drizzle of honey and chopped dates.
    1 tablespoon honey, ⅓ cup dates

Notes

  • Savory version: top with pesto instead of dates and honey.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Make ahead: This air fryer brie is super easy to make ahead - up to 2 days. Cover with plastic wrap until ready to bake.
  • Freezer: This recipe freezes well and can be fried again. Allow to defrost in the refrigerator prior to air frying.
  • Reheat: Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350F for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
