Ingredients

  • Hard cheese such as cheddar or gouda
  • Soft cheese like goat cheese or brie
  • Charcuterie meat such as hard salami prosciutto, pepperoni or even rolled deli meat
  • Fruit such as grapes or dried fruits
  • Crackers breads, toasts, pretzels or pretzel thins
  • Nuts such as almonds cashews or pistachios
  • Sweet items like chocolate bark
  • Salty items like mixed olives

Instructions

  • Arrange items on a wooden board, sheet pan or cutting board.
  • Add serving utensils and plates or have guests eat directly from the board

Notes

  • Serve what your guests like: My best recommendation for creating your own cheeseboard at home is to use what you and your guests like to eat!  Rather than soft and hard cheese, you may opt for yellow and white cheese.  The options are endless when you are creating your own easy charcuterie platter.
  • Use what you have on hand: I wanted to add some chocolate to my Aldi charcuterie and had some at home!  I also had some almonds at home so I added them as well.  Using up what you have on hand is a great way to pump up the volume of your charcuterie plate while saving some money!
