Pumpkin Dump Cake {Gluten Free & Refined Sugar Free Slow Cooker Recipe}

Full of pumpkin spice flavor, this pumpkin dump cake is a delicious slow cooker recipe.  This healthy pumpkin dessert has zero refined sugar and is gluten free.

Servings 8


Pumpkin Layer

  • 30 oz pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 stick melted butter or 8 TB coconut oil for vegan
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds

Cake Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten free flour
  • 3/4 cups coconut sugar
  • 1 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • .5 tsp kosher salt


  1. Spray a slow cooker (at least 6 ounce capacity) with cooking spray.

  2. Combine pumpkin, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice and salt into a bowl and dump it into the prepared slow cooker. Sprinkle cake mix layer (or boxed cake mix) evenly over the pumpkin puree.

  3. Evenly pour the melted butter over the top layer and sprinkle with pecans and almonds.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until the edges of the cake start to brown and crisp slightly.
