Quick and Easy Homemade Strawberry Puree Recipe

Learn how to make real strawberry puree at home! Easy and quick to make by blending fresh or frozen strawberries and honey until smooth. Perfect for topping desserts or adding to drinks.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries fresh or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon honey more or less to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • Wash, de-stem and cut berries in half.
    2 cups strawberries
  • Add prepared berries to a food processor along with honey and lemon juice. Process on high for 60 seconds. Use a fine mesh sieve to remove any seeds and larger chunks if desired.
    1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Notes

  • To make without seeds: Use a fine mesh sieve to push the puree through and remove as many seeds as possible.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
  • Freezer: Store leftover pureed strawberries in a freezer safe container for up to 3 months.
  • Do not use honey in recipes for babies under one.
