Homemade Oat Milk

You can make delicious homemade dairy free milk for dairy free, plant based or vegan recipes!  Even if you aren't dairy free, learning how to make oat milk is an inexpensive way to make homemade plant based milk that you will love!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 2 pitted dates
  • 4 -5 cups water

Instructions

  • Soak oats in enough water to cover them. Set aside for 30 minutes.
  • Drain oats using a mesh colander. Combine oats with water and dates and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer to a blender and blend until smooth. Drain through a cheesecloth to remove solids and store in fridge for up to a week.
