Ingredients and Substitutions
Here are the ingredients you need to make this recipe. Reference the recipe card at the bottom for exact measurements and the notes below for substitution ideas.
- Teas: You will need one bag of organic green tea with mint and one bag of herbal peach tea. Starbucks uses Teavana teas (peach tranquility tea and jade citrus mint green tea), however, you can use whichever hot tea you have in your local grocery store.
- Hot Water: One cup of hot water will cut the sweetness of the lemonade.
- Lemonade: I use Simply Light Lemonade to make the medicine ball recipe with less sugar. You could also use fresh lemon juice, sugar, and water to make homemade lemonade.
- Honey: Add a drizzle of honey for extra sweetness and natural sweetener, or omit it to make the recipe have less sugar.
- Peppermint syrup: This optional ingredient makes a true Starbucks version of a medicine ball, however, I omit it in my recipe and it's still delicious. If you include it, use one pump of peppermint syrup.
