Our Review of the Kalahari Resort Sandusky
Our girls are serious about waterparks. They love swimming and water attractions! Road trips are big for us in the summer but there is nothing better than a quick overnight trip for some family fun. Thank you Kalahari Resort Sandusky for hosting us!
The Waterpark at Kalahari Resort Sandusky
The waterpark at Kalahari Resort Sandusky is huge! I’ve never seen so many different types of slides and attractions. I have two gals who love the water but both have different interests.
My older daughter loves waterslides! She was so happy to ride any of the slides that she could get on. Luckily my husband was there to be her riding buddy.
My littlest was so happy to play on the kid-sized slides and she loved the pool swings!
Both girls loved the wave pool!
The weather held out for us and we were able to enjoy the outdoor waterpark! There is a brand new area at Kalahari Sandusky called Bugs Burrow. It’s perfect for smaller kids (mainly six and under). My 7 year old daughter was too tall for many of the rides so she stuck with her dad and rode some of the bigger rides.
My youngest loved the slides in Bugs Burrow. She even got adventurous and rode a few that surprised me! Bugs Burrow has a water attraction area with sprinklers and slides of all sizes. The outside area also has a regular pool if your kiddos are just into plain old swimming!
The novelty of the indoor waterpark was huge for them! I could definitely see us coming back in the winter when we need a break from the cold!
Rooms at Kalahari Waterpark Ohio
The rooms at Kalahari were clean and very spacious. My girls loved the theme of Kalahari which was evident in all areas of the resort.
Our favorite thing about Kalahari Waterpark Ohio
My girls and hubby’s favorite thing about Kalahari was of course the slides! The waterpark was a huge draw for them.
Not surprisingly, my favorite part of Kalahari Ohio was the food! We had dinner at a burger place called B-lux and it was delicious! We also had fun in the game room in the evening.
Kalahari is a great choice for a weekend getaway! It has a lot of variety for both older and younger kids. They do sell day passes so the pool and slides can get a little crowded. But with the amount of things to do there is always another area to explore!
