Incorporate More Plant-Based Foods Into My Diet
Incorporating more plant based foods into my diet has been extremely helpful in my fitness journey. It can be so easy to go for the low-carb or low calorie option, but I always question myself as to what is the most nutritious thing I can eat? I find that when I do eat more plant-based foods, I stay fuller and I have more energy. Starting the day off with a plant-based breakfast has been super helpful to keep me full! Give Myself Grace – It’s a Journey, Not a Destination
Inevitably, life steps in during any fitness journey! Whether vacations, holidays or just plain life intervenes, cutting yourself some slack is a definite must for moving forward on your journey.
One way to “stop starting over” is to dust yourself off when you get off of your routine. You don’t have to make huge changes. Try drinking more water, getting a bit of exercise, or eating more veggies. Getting back into a routine is much easier when you aren’t so hard on yourself.
Try New Things to Keep Fitness Exciting
Sometimes our bodies need a bit of a switch up to see results. If you’ve been running a ton, try a yoga class! Or maybe sign up for a bootcamp workout if you are used to doing a stationary bike. Mixing things up keeps your body guessing and keeps you engaged on your journey!
Remember that progress doesn’t need to be extreme to be meaningful.
