Find New Ways to Challenge Your Fitness
Have you always done one type of workout? Have you shied away from a workout because you were afraid to try it? Now is the time to try something new! Grab a friend and give that barre class a try. Or grab your running shoes and see how far you can go. The only harm you can do is in not trying.
Don’t Be Afraid to Recover
This is one I’ve been so very guilty of in the past! Recovery is key to fitness for women. We simply cannot go full steam ahead all day everyday. It’s totally OK to put the weights down and do some yoga! Also, if your body is asking for rest, give it rest!
Choose More Plant Based Meals
One of the best decisions I made in my nutrition has been to incorporate more plant based meals into my diet. Silk® Almond Yogurt Alternative is one of my favorite snacks to recover with! I love to eat it right out of the carton or mixed in with some berries and almond butter. With the New Year on the horizon, eating more plant-based foods and grocery shopping on a budget are at the top of my mind! Walmart helps me to get all of the groceries I need for a great price. I love being able to pick up Silk® Almond Yogurt Alternative during my Walmart runs. It is Dairy-Free, Delicious, and Vegan with 5 grams of plant-powered protein. Walmart and Silk® make it easier to accomplish health and wellness resolutions!
Do What Works for You
One of the most dangerous things we can encounter on a journey of fitness for women is comparison! No two bodies are alike and there is a lot of that can derail your progress when you compare your journey to someone else. When you feel yourself starting to compare yourself to another woman, try listing out all of the things you are grateful for about your journey!
Celebrate Progress Over Perfection
Making progress is all the perfection you need! Small changes over time create huge differences. These are the types of lifestyle changes that are permanent. Celebrate the fact that you are on this journey and you are working toward a better you! You can take the Silk® 30 DayChallenge by incorporating Silk® products into your journey for better health. Sign up here! You will be set to stay motivated on your journey! What are some of the new ways you are focusing on your fitness journey in the new year? Tell me about it in the comments!
