An easy protein ball recipe is one of my favorite snacks to keep the holiday munchies at bay!  These little snacks are packed with protein and taste just like a gingerbread cookie!

I have a severe sweet tooth and I love dessert and sweets.  Every meal has to have a sweet ending!  But, if you’re like me and trying to eat healthy, then decadent desserts have to be an indulgence, not an everyday occurrence!

this gingerbread protein ball recipe is a perfect healthy holiday snack

Gingerbread Protein Balls Recipe

Servings 18 balls

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 servings vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix until well incorporated.

    Scoop out approximately 18 balls with a small cookie scooper. Roll balls for even sizing.

    Place balls on plate and freeze for 10 minutes before serving if eating immediately.

    Store frozen and thaw for 5 minutes before serving.
