The Easiest Kids Easter Dessert Recipe
Rice Krispie Eggs for an easy Easter dessert for kids that is quick and cute!
Nothing works better than a good old Rice Krispie treat right? Since it’s spring break and we were looking for something fun to do, the girls and I decided we would make some fun Easter dessert! We wanted it to be an easy, kid-friendly, and cute dessert for Easter! We’re all suckers for sprinkles so of course, those had to be included. If you have a little baker in your house like I do, Rice Krispie treats are a perfect idea for creating an easy no-bake dessert recipe for any holiday! Baking is one of our favorite kid activities, especially around Easter!
Fun Easy Spring Dessert for Kids
I had gotten some new larger Easter eggs from Target to put out for the Easter bunny. The eggs came in plastic mold and as soon as I saw it, the lightbulb went off! We could press Rice Krispie treats into the eggs!! And coat them with white chocolate and sprinkles of course. I had seen a few ideas on Pinterest about making Easter egg Rice Krispie treats using actual Easter eggs. But, the more I thought about it, washing Easter eggs was not something I really wanted to do. Plus, these eggs took on a sort-of Reese’s egg shape (and who doesn’t love a Reese’s egg?!)
Step by Step Directions for how to Create an Easy Easter Dessert for Kids
Step 1: Make Rice Krispie treats! 6 cups of Rice Krispies, 1 10 oz. package of marshmallows, 3 tablespoons of butter. Melt the butter over low heat and then add marshmallows to melt as well. Be careful they don’t burn. Add in Rice Krispies and mix gently.
Step 2: Spray egg molds with cooking spray. Press Rice Krispie treats into egg mold. Remove each egg from mold and place on parchment paper.
Step 3: Melt 1 package of white chocolate morsels and 1 tsp of coconut oil in 30 second increments in the microwave. Stir between increments to ensure proper melting.
Step 4: Dip each egg into melted chocolate to coat. You could also choose to drizzle the white chocolate over the eggs with a spoon.
Step 5: Sprinkle each egg with Easter sprinkles!
Let the chocolate dry and you have a kids Easter dessert recipe that is easy, quick and cute!
