Owning your mornings can lead to owning your day. When I started focusing on using my time more intentionally in the morning, I realized I needed a morning routine for natural beauty. Health & fitness goes far beyond what we eat and how we exercise! It also applies to the products we use. I knew that I needed a morning routine for natural beauty using natural products! But I also needed it to be a simple morning routine! Too many steps = failure in the long run.

Just a few simple steps can help you to do this! Self-care in the morning can really help you feel your best and take on whatever comes your way. One of my goals for 2018 was to be more intentional with my time. I have found that by implementing a simple morning routine, I’m able to focus on my goals of being intentional and not wasting time!

Water upon wakeup
8 ounces of water right off the bat! This will help you start the day hydrated! Hydration is a no-brainer for your natural beauty routine. Get your natural detoxification off to a start first thing!
Make Your Bed
Making your bed will be the second step in staying intentional in your goals for the year! When you make your bed first thing, it really sets your day off to get some great things accomplished. You’ll be more mindful of your goals, and more focused on getting those things you wanted to, actually done!
Brush Your Teeth
Dental care can be simple and natural! I love that I can use Tom’s of Maine® Antiplaque & Whitening Toothpaste for my dental care. No more harsh whiteners and chemicals I don’t want to put in my mouth!
Pay attention to your Skincare
Skincare in the morning is just as important as skincare in the evening. If you use products overnight, be sure to rinse your face!

Keep it simple! If your mornings are crazy for the season of life you are in, find one or two simple hairstyles that work well for you. For me, that meant embracing my natural curl! I workout in the morning so after a sweat fest, I can’t spend hours doing my hair. Embrace what you’ve got, it looks amazing on you! For makeup, a simple, natural BB cream, mascara and lip gloss can go a long way!

5:00a – Wakeup time! Water, make the bed, put on my workout clothes.
5:10a – Move laundry. I set my delay feature on our washer to have it start around 3:30a – it dries while I’m exercising.
5:10a – Morning devotional, reading
5:30a – Check email, do any quick work things I need to get moving or knocked out of the way
6:00a – Exercise! Run on treadmill or do a 30 minute at-home workout.
6:30a – Make kid lunches, prep dinner ingredients, unload dishwasher, clean up.
7:00a – Get kids ready for the day.
7:30a – I get ready for the day.
8:00a – Leave for school drop off!
