Dumbbell Circuit Workout
I’m so excited to welcome Tiffany of A Fit Moms Life Blog to guest post on the blog today!  Tiffany is a wife and mom of two and is always inspiring and leading mommas to workout routines on her blog A Fit Mom’s Life!  Tiffany is bringing us an awesome circuit workout that can be easily done at home!

From Tiffany!

It’s the new year, and I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to focus on my fitness. I’m feeling renewed
after the holidays and even though it can sometimes be hard to get started again, now that I’m back into
my weekly routine, it’s become just that: routine. My one piece of advice for anyone struggling to get
started is to just start. Schedule your workouts into your day. My gym time is a non-negotiable for me.
I promise, once you can make it a habit, you’ll look forward to your workouts.

Dumbbell Circuit Workout
One of my favorite ways to exercise is by doing circuits. They are easy to follow and get your heart
pumping. And a great piece of equipment to use for so many workouts is dumbbells. They are so
diverse! You can pick up a few sets of different weights on Amazon or at Target for a reasonable price.
This dumbbell workout will combine two circuits. You’ll do 10 reps of each exercise in circuit 1, as many
times through as possible in 4 minutes. Rest for 1 minute. The you’ll do circuit 2 for 4 minutes. Rest for
1 minute. Repeat the entire process a second time, for a total of 16 minutes of work.

Circuit 1

10 lateral raises
10 bent over reverse flies
10 high pulls
10 squat jumps

Circuit 2

10 Romanian deadlifts
10 bicep curls
10 squat and press
10 push ups
Make sure when you’re working that you are using good form. If you notice it’s hard to keep good form,
slow down a bit. Proper form is so important to maximize each exercise, but also to avoid injury. It’s
better to go slow than to try to go as fast as possible and hurt yourself.

You can find some of my other at home workouts under the health & fitness section of my blog. Now go
get your sweat on!

Wow! Such an exceptional and effective workout, Lyndsey! I am definitely giving it a try these days. How many times a week would you recommend doing it?

I thought so too!! If you are starting from the beginning, listen to your body and chat with your doc to see what makes sense for you!
