OK, we are down two holidays and just have one to go before we start fresh in the New Year right? You may be ready for a little detox after a few too many Christmas cookies! I’m there! This is the perfect recipe to get your day after Christmas started off right!
How to make a Detox Smoothie in 5 Simple Steps!
Pick a base
Water, unsweetneed almond or coconut milk, coconut water, or green tea are great options to start!
Pick a leafy green
I prefer spinach but you could also do kale!
Pick one or two fruits to sweeten
Select a low-glycemic fruit like berries! Or you can add grapefruit, bananas, apples, pineapples, etc.
Add detoxing ingredients
Ginger, lemon or parsley are great detoxifying add-ins!
Blend and Enjoy
Add some ice cubes for an icy smoothie! My favorite blender (which is also reasonably priced!) is the Ni
nja! This is a great way to get your detox started and feeling refreshed after overindulging.
